Production / Process Engineer
Company  : Significant International Leader in Specialty Chemicals / Minerals
Location   : Domestic U.S.
Production / Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing the plant processes and  equipment. Ensures that the quality and production goals are accomplished.  Address maintenance problems that inhibit the efficient operation of the process equipment. Direct capital funds projects for plant equipment improvements.  Communicate changes in operating parameters as well as dealing with newly installed equipment.

Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor of Science in either Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
    Minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical or heavy industrial process industry is required.
    Leadership role in developing and implementing process and safety improvements.
    Experience in environmental permit compliance.
    Strong ability to communicate and direct activities of operators and maintenance.
    Experience filling in as Superintendent/Manager.
    Experience in monitoring costs (operating costs and turnaround costs).
    Plan and lead turnaround activities
    Strong work ethic.
    Proficient oral and written communication skills.
    Proficient in Microsoft programs.

Position Accountabilities:
    Identifying and implementing cost savings projects annually
    Assist identification and implementation of safety and environmental improvement projects.
    Track and provide recommendations to ensure that production meets or exceeds goals.
    Provide material balance forecasting and assistance with cost forecasting.
    Provide root cause analysis leadership and involvement
    Identify, request and apply capital funds for improvement and sustaining projects.
    Manage contract operations activities and spending for cost effectiveness.
    Participate meetings to improve safety and environmental awareness.

Corporate Senior Process Engineer

Corporate Senior Process Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Process Engineer responsible for corporate process engineering activities and to be a member of the corporate senior technical team.  This will include optimization of processes, evaluation and optimization of existing plants, and process water re-use and conservation.  It will also include technical support for plant functions such as dewatering, product quality and purity, air quality control technologies, and energy conservation. 

With high visibility, this position will also be a member of the corporate senior technical team responsible for development and optimization of assets.  This includes strategic planning, management of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, & technology evaluation for improved cost efficiencies & production.

Key responsibilities:

    Evaluation and optimization of processes
    Process equipment selection and evaluation for recovery improvement
    Optimization of plant process systems
    Development of process flow diagrams and mass balance calculations for new processes

Plant Process Engineer

Plant Process Engineer

  • Supervise contractors in construction projects. Ensure that construction methods are according to plant specifications and standards. Address and resolve construction problems that arise in the field;
  • Coordinate required shutdowns for tie-ins, etc. with appropriate department and contractors to minimize impact on plant operations;
  • Conduct check-out and start-up of new and modified systems in the plant to satisfy production and maintenance requirements. Identify problems in new systems and recommend solutions; and
  • Provide computer aided drafting services using Auto-CAD  Field verify and update existing plant drawings as required for project designs. Create drawings as required for new projects.
